Some Ideas

Couple of ideas you can consider, they have been relatively successful as far as i know of

1) supermarket bag packing, and asking the customers whose bags you packed for sponsorship
2) organising gigs/raves

the second one may be a problem because will take a lot of organising, especially where to have it as well.

If whitmore has a large school hall ask to use it.
& ask some local popular bands to play, say its for charity and they'll likely do it for free
I agree that it will take a long time to sort out though

yh problem is our schools half in teh ground lol

fair point, i keep forgetting that whitmore is being rebuilt.
In any case im sure that there are some fairly large halls, that could be rented out
